If x and y are positive integers, what is the value of x?

(1) (3^x) (5^y) = 1,125.

(2) y = 3.

(1) 1125 = 5^3 * 3^2
Therefore, (3^2) * (5^3) = 1125 implies x = 2
So, (1) is SUFFICIENT.

(2) y = 3 does not help us to find x as we don't know the relationship between x and y.
So, (2) is NOT SUFFICIENT.
