plz explain
if Arif walks at 14km/hr instead of 10km/hr for a certain time, if he would have walk 20km more. if arif walks at speed of 20km/hr. the distance traveled by him within that time is
A.50 B.55 C.60 D 65 E. 70

Hi Noman,

Did you copy this question correctly? I ask because I think that this question has a 'typo' in it.

If Arif walks at 14km/hour instead of 10km/hour, then he walks an EXTRA 4 km/hour. We're told that he would have walked an extra 20km over a certain amount of time. We can calculate that time....

20 km/(extra 4km/hour) = 5 hours

So we now know that Arif walked for 5 hours.

We're then asked how far he would have walked during that time IF he had walked 20km/hour.

(5 hours)(20 km/hour) = 100 km.

That answer is not among the 5 choices though.
