Hey Guys,

A year ago I bought OG 12th edition and the Manhattan Gmat books 5th edition. I studied a bit back then, but stopped only a couple weeks later because financial difficulties put the master degree I wanted out of reach. A year has passed and as of this moment I do have the financial means to pursue this degree. In order to ensure the best results possible I enrolled in the 60 day study program. Unfortunately this course is based on the slightly newer versions of these guides. Will this create any problems and if so can they be solved or should I buy the new versions?

Thank you in advance, Sebastiaan

Hi Sebastiaan,

To follow the 60-Day Study Guide, you can use either the MGMAT books (5th edition) or the GMAT Prep Now videos. If you already have the 5th edition books, then you're fine. If you have the 4th edition books, you should be able to find the pages corresponding to the 5th edition books. However, keep in mind that the 4th edition MGMAT books don't cover the new Integrated Reasoning (IR) section.

The Study Guide directs you to answer homework questions in the OG13, so you should definitely get that resource. Plus The OG12 doesn't have IR questions.

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
Brent

Hey Brent,

I am pondering whether to repurchase all the new MGMAT books (5th edition, I have the 4th). As a expert do you think this is a wise move or would you advise me to purchase only the integrated reasoning section?

Thank you in advance, Sebastiaan

I think that purchasing the IR book should be sufficient.

Cheers,
Brent
