Traditionally the public bus system has been subsidized by the state government because revenue from ticket sales is not sufficient to cover operating costs. The governor's plan proposes to cut financial support of the system.

Which of the following logically follows from the passage above?

A. If the government continues with its plan, the bus will have to stop operating.
B. If the bus system does not find another way of raising money and the governor's plan is approved, the bus system will have to either raise ticket prices or cut back on service.
C. If the price of a bus ticket is raised, some people will no longer be able to afford to ride the bus.
D. If the bus system can find a way to cut costs, it will be able to maintain current levels of service.
E. A group of investors is considering privatizing the subway system.

The OA is B

Option A:- INCORRECT
This is not logically intact because if the government withdraws its support, the body in charge of the bus operation will have to look for alternative way that is lucrative enough for generating fund to finance their operation. This will not necessarily end their operation.

Option B:- CORRECT
If this scenario is to be put into consideration, the government has withdrawn its support and the bus system had no other means of generating income. They will be left with no other option than revisiting their viable source of income and maximize the income being generated either by raising the ticket prices or cut backs on services or both ways so as to keep the system running. This is logically sensible and acceptable.

Option C:- INCORRECT
This may seem true, but logically unacceptable because in reality people will adjust to such a condition.

Option D:- INCORRECT
This does not follow the same account as the passage because there were no recommendations from the government that considered this idea. The government had already decided and a step had already been taken.

Option E:- INCORRECT
This is completely out of context , as there were no place in the passage capturing any relative items.
