Hi,
I took the Gmat Prep 2 yesterday and scored 590 (30 Q, 33V). My weak areas are Data Sufficiency and Sentence correction. I think Quant on the whole gives me the jitters. A week ago I took the free MGMAT test and scored 620 and thought I was on the right track but GMAT Prep 2 is a major reality check. I am just not going to give up and let the GMAT get the better of me. I have the last 50 Q left in OG 11 and few Verbal.

After having faired badly yesterday, I am wondering if it would be a good idea to purchase one of the MGMAT books to gain access to the 6 tests online or just continue with my old strategy of finishing the OG 11 and revisiting all the wrong ones and the lessons learned. I will finish the OG in either case but need serious ADVICE on if I should do the 6 tests or just stick to revising in the last 2 weeks. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I would actually consider winding down your prep--you're too close to your test date to be packing in lots of practice/tests. As you get into your final week, take it a little easier and emphasize review. Think about making some flashcards to review key concepts. I agree with Eric, with two weeks left, you should wind down studies and focus on reinforcing what you've learned and learning from your mistakes. You can do a cat or two to practice and apply your lessons learned then review the errors and repeat, but try not to overwhelm yourself with new stuff - that'll distract you and shift your focus too much I think.

Thanks Eric and Mayonnaise for your advice. I nearly had a panic attack last week, but now I think I am more composed. I am just concentrating on the og 10 and 11 and reviewing all my notes every now and then. I will take Gmat prep and power prep the coming week so I am comfortable with the timing. Timing in Quant is a major issue for me. I tend to make up my lost minutes that I spend on hard problems on DS, which is hurting my score a lot. I need to work on that and I think a few tests might help in doing that. I have to thank you both for all the support this site gives. it's been my close friend the past two months.
