Integers reversed - Applied problem

If a two-digit integer has its digits received, the resulting integer differs from the original by 27. By how much do the two digits differ?

A. 3
B. 4
C. 5
D. 6
E. 7

consider the question like this

let the number be 10a+b
reversing the digits 10b+a
difference 9a-9b = 27 ( given)
a-b = 3

hence A
