If the triangle is equilateral then AB = BC = CA, so the circumference is 36.

pi*d = 36, so d is just less than 12.

This is a geometry formula - I forgot in detail how to derive and all those- but it is again mentioned in GMATPrep Software. For more details, refer the attachment. I think now u can get what to do! If not, let me know and I will try to explain my approach.

Though you can deal with lots of geometry formulas or concepts in here, basically you have 3 chords which formed the triangle, and all the chors lengths are equal, which means they each represent an arc of 120 degrees, since you are given the length of 2 arcs you can easily apply toronto's way for the rest :wink:
