Hi Noman,

From this post, it's not clear what you really *need*...

Are you looking for practice materials that will help you to do math "faster"?
Are you looking for practice materials that will teach you tactics that can be used to answer questions faster than a traditional "math approach"?

While you will face some questions in the Quant section that you can answer in less than 1 minute, most of the questions are too wordy/layered to be solved so quickly. As such, you might be better off training for "efficiency" than focusing on "doing everything in under a minute."

How long have you been studying?
What resources have you used so far?

Hi Noman,

You must know that most of the QUant questions can be solved easily in less than 1.5 min with the application of very basics of Mathematics and therefore GMAT preparation doesn't require much of so called "SHORT CUT TECHNIQUES" however the shortcuts are developed from the observation of the basic concepts that you keep using to solve questions.

Hence you must try to get some command over the basic concepts first and I am sure in some time you will yourself find the shortcuts to solve questions quickly.

About the basic of Maths for GMAT, you can refer to any book e.g. Manhattan and you would find all the basic properties that you need to know to crack the questions of GMAT.

It will be in your best favor to start focusing on the basics of Quant rather than shortcut in Quant.

Hi Noman,

The Quant section of the GMAT is NOT a "math test" (although you will do lots of little calculations as you work through it); it's really more of a test of your logical thinking.

The 'shortcuts' that you are interested in are not always "calculation-related" shortcuts; in many Quant questions, the shortcuts are based on using tactics to answer the question (instead of just doing math), recognizing patterns in the logic, using the answer choices to your advantage, knowing Number Properties, etc.

This is all meant to say that you probably need to learn more than just 'math shortcuts' to achieve your goals.
