Mike, Tom, and Walt are working as sales agents for an insurance company. If the commissions Mike, Tom, and Walt get can be expressed by the following formula: MT = W/6. If Mike sells 60% more this month and Tom decreases his sales by 50%, how should Walt do to maintain the above relationship intact?

Sell 12.5% less
Sell 20% less
Sell 22.5% less
Sell 12.5% more
Sell 15 % more

Answer is B

MT = W/6

After 60% increase of M sales and 50% decrease in T sales

1.6M * T/2 = x * W/6

--> MT = x* W/6 * 1/0.8

--> x = 0.8

ie if W decreases by 20% the equations holds good.
