Reading Blogs...

by topspin360 » Sat Sep 01, 2012 7:00 pm
Hello all, I'm doing pretty well on RC, but I usually get lost in the trenches when you going through dissecting such convoluted ideas on GMAT passages.

I've been trying to read the Economist to get used to reading and digesting information quickly. I'll be the first to say that I don't think articles on the Economist are nearly as complex (i.e., present multiple ideas in weird structures). In fact, they are very concise and clear in presenting ideas.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any blogs that follow similar structure to that of GMAT passages... or any other material I can use to get used to the reading.

Thanks

I'm not sure about blogs, but some useful resources that have GMAT-like passages include Scientific American, Business Week, and The New York Times.

I also suggest practicing your note-taking skills by taking the 1-Day Challenge.

For a complete list of recommended reading materials and to learn about the 1-Day Challenge, you can watch this free video: https://www.gmatprepnow.com/module/gmat- ... on?id=1130

There are tons of passages on this very site. You get passages plus a lot of great discussions about the passage.

A google search for "GMAT RC passages" should lead to many more.
