A location network is connected by 10 lines. If one of the lines breaks, the whole net falls apart. During a time of T, the probability that each of 10 lines will break is 0.6, then, what is the probability that the net will fall apart during time period T?

The probability that 1 of 10 lines will break is 0.6
The probability that 1 of 10 lines will not-break is = 1 - 0.6 = 0.4

The probability that all of 10 lines will not-break is = (0.4)^10

Probability that the net will fall apart = 1 - (.4)^10
