Since DS questions are unique to the GMAT,
everyone struggles with them at first. In fact, in the beginning, just understanding the answer choices is a chore.
Given the initial uphill battle, a lot of students develop a strong dislike for DS questions, and it's not uncommon for students to avoid (or minimize their exposure to) DS questions while practicing. This is a big mistake. If anything, students should fully immerse themselves in these question types.
Once a student begins to develop a deeper understanding, there are many useful strategies he/she can employ. Some of the big ones include: rephrasing the target question and the table method.
