B it is.... Umaa i see you post lots of good CRs (esp ones with camera pics) but i dont see you providing OA to any of ur questions ( even if some discussions happen on ur Q's)

The scientist are estimating the mass and not the amount of light(Quote C).

C - New findings state that Haley's comet emits less light. less mass means less light. But prior to the findings, scientists thought more mass which means more light .

B seems to state the reverse.
