Of an entire rectangular farmland 8m by 10m, Rogers wants to clear a circular
space of radius 1m. If he randomly chooses the center of the circular space,

Draw a rectangular 8x10. Now look, in order for you to draw a 1m-radius circle without getting out of the region happens only when you keep it 1 m away from the border along the whole perimeter. You draw a smaller 6 by 8 rectangular inside the original one. Hence, (6x8)/(8x10) is your answer, which is P=0.6.
