Hello,

I have just commenced a 3 months intensive period of study with the goal of achieved a top GMAT score by mid February 2009.

I have noted that most of the top B-schools have cut-offs for the final round of applications in the first two weeks of March.

My question is: do you think it will be too late to apply to the schools if I receive my GMAT score in mid February? I.e how many weeks minimum do I need after achieving my GMAT score?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Julian

Dear Julian,

Official GMAT scores are generally sent to schools about 3 weeks after you take the exam. Some schools will allow you to apply with your unofficial score, so be sure to check with each school individually to see if your test date will be a problem for meeting the deadline.
