Hi All

Now i wrote the GMAT once in March and now planning to write again in July to get a score of above 800.

So Now i think i need to make a strategy plan. So can you tell me how to proceed like when is right time to take GMAT, the time to apply (Insead for e.g).. And when do i start off on the recommendation letters and resume and essays?

I am planning on taking the GMAT again on July 31st.

Is this ok??
I am applyin for the 2010 intake.

Thanks

regards

Harsha

Harsha,

No one can score 800+ in GMAT, coz maximum score is 800 itself.

All the Best!!!

nolf,

I think the best time to start preps for GMAT would be a year to a year and a half in advance of when you plan to start your b-school. So if you are planning to get into the fall intake of 2010 then its the best time to start. It would also give you ample time to concentrate on your apps and retake the gmat if needed.

Start off with a Practice Cat to know where you stand and how far do you need to go. If you are planning to apply for INSEAD, then you need to get above 75 percentile on both the sections (Q and V) atleast.

Oh and btw, i dont know if its a typo, but i assume that you wanna score above 700, since 800 is like the max a person can get. :)
