Hi

Even in the old thread that you mentioned, the doubt still remains...
The idiom 'required to' is also correct..
Even I feel option (E) is better than (B)

My answer: B
"such firms" requires a precedence for reference. eliminates ACD
E : seems like firms is referring to a particular group of firms mentioned before this.

I chose E.why is it wrong?Isn't the idiom "required for" ? I narrowed it to B and E but chose E.
