D & E are out immediately as banked should parallel with overlaid.
C is out because of parallel structure overlaid with and banked with
B is out because of redundance that of
Therefore, A is the correct answer

How do you know that "banked with dirt..." is talking about the framework of poles and not the single-family house. Because that changes parallelism completely right?

When taking this exam, I saw it as The single family house...was conical in shape...and was banked...

but if we read it as "its framework of poles overlaid with..and banked with.." then that's parallel too..but it seems ambiguous to me..

thoughts anyone?

B/D/E - how can we as high as three to four feet -> as high as implies maximum height and it take only one value.

Between A and C. C - banked them is wrong.

banked with dirt is parallel to overlaid with slabs of bark.

IMO A.
