Usage of WHO WHOM WHOSE

by mmslf75 » Fri Jan 08, 2010 9:10 am
Guys,

query 1

Does GMAT test usage of WHO and WHOM and WHOSE in SC ?

If so, how must we distinguish among them

i mean i know for a fact that WHOM is object pronoun / who subject and whose possessive pronoun !!

query 2

I have seen WHOSE taking non-living entities!!
Is that acceptable..??
example from OF

...Clans, whose access to water was less limited...

????

The mansion owner asked his landscape architect not to hire professional gardeners, but to find volunteers from the people who worked at the estate who were willing to work on the weekends to make extra money.

a volunteers from the people who worked at the estate who were willing

b volunteers from among the people whom worked at the estate who were willing

c volunteers from between the people who worked at the estate whom were willing

d volunteers from between the people whom worked at the estate whom were willing

e volunteers from among the people who worked at the estate who were willing

here in E the WHO takes same subject .. therfore WHO and Not WHOM in latter part

THIS IS THE ONLY ASPECT OF WHO WHOM I have understood
any other please highlight!

I need to know who/whom to fire. Apart from answering which pronoun fits best, please someone analyze this question.
Locate subject, object etc...
