Hi,
I am concerned about applying to business school, as well as choosing schools in which there is potential for acceptance.
I went to Boston College and graduated in 2005 (I played Division 1 women's lacrosse my freshman year after having been recruited by BC). My degree is in Political Science. My GPA is just below a 3.0 for various reasons, none of which have to do with being incapable of the work. I worked as an Operations Analyst at RBS Greenwich Capital for 8 months and then went on to be a trading assistant at a credit hedge fund for 1.5 yrs, until I was let go in Dec of 2008. Since then, I have taken Corporate Finance at NYU, and then Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and Financial Management at Fairfield (all separate courses, so 4 in total). I earned As in all of those classes. I also took an Investment Banking three week training session. I am now working at a start-up investment banking boutique and have been there since April. It is myself and three managing directors. I am shooting for fall of 2010 for business school. I am taking the GMAT in the beginning of December.
What are my chances at a Georgetown or BC? I am a 27 yr old female.
Thanks
