X/5 -1/10 =1/6
Take the all constant to one side,
x/5 = 1/6+1/10
x/5 = 16/60
X= 16*5/60 = 16/12 =4/3
X = 4/3

Could I also use this method?

Find the LCD for each fraction

6X-3 =5

6X=8

6X/6 = 8/6

X=4/3
