Time of the day for practice tests??

i have been studying for 3-4 months now. i work full time and the only time i can really take a practice test is after work at 6-7 pm. i'm usually pretty tired, mentally. does anyone know how big of an affect this could place on my practice test scores?

How is everyone else that works full-time finding time that is efficient to do a 3.5 hr practice test?

It's definitely tough to study after work--but most of us are in the same work. You really have to have a routine down and make sure that you devote some time every day to study (ideally).

With regards to practice tests--I would advise not taking them after work during the weekday. I would save your practice tests for the weekend, and take them during the time of day when you expect to be taking your actual GMAT. It's important to be mentally fresh for your practice tests.

Ha! join the club! I work full time and I have a 20 month old daugher

BUT I am SO motivated that I study every single day except Friday after work (from 5:30-7:30 or so). Also on Week-ends, esp. On Sunday about 6 hours. Still I keep re-scheduling the test because I think I am never ready

But this time I will not change my date, which is the 17th. This is it!!! I need to go back to my family. I have been studying also since October and I am sick of this and I know I will beat the GMAT!!!

Yes, I realize the majority are working full-time and studying. My issue is not the amount I am studying.. I am studying everyday as well (including Friday nights).. my issue is that my scores may not be that accurate and could hopefully be higher.

I plan to take it in the next wk or 2.. and agree, i also never feel ready, but this has been hanging over my head since october.. i actually took it in December..and am retaking it..

I know the feeling...don't take exams after work. I take the practice exams on week-ends. I took a Kaplan exam after work and I almost fainted when i saw the score.

Haha, a Kaplan practice exam is not the best way to treat yourself after a long day of work.

Do practice questions on weeknights, like one question type at a time for an hour or so. Then take a full test on the weekends.

Definitely agree that you should take your practice tests at the same time of day you plan to take the real thing - so take them on week-ends, if need be.

Also, know at what time of day you work best. I always take the test in the afternoon b/c I'm NOT a morning person.
