Hello members,
I am in the process of submitting applications for part-time MBA for the following programs.
1. UMD Smith
2. American University
3. George Mason
4. George Washington.
My profile is as follows:
-GMAT 530 (v25, q37, 5)
-Cumulative Undergrad GPA - 3.77. Graduated from a second best state university in MN.
-7 years work experience
I have taken two exams. I want to start my MBA soon hence I don't want to take another exam.
My questions as follows:
1. What are my chances of getting admission to those schools?
2. I have taken quantitative courses (calc I - III) and recieved B or better. I have business courses (i.e. microeconomics, international business). Would these help with the admission comittee in terms of assessing the quantitative/verbal even though my GMAT is not good.
3. Should I take address my GMAT score in the optional essay? I am thinking not because I don't have any spectacular reason to explain other than I did not do well. Also, my background is typical of an applicant.
4. I am applying in the third round. How is that going to impact me?
I understand that LOR and essays are critical. I believe they are in good shape.
I would appreciate any feedback from anyone, especially those who is dealing with these schools.
