Profile Evaluation HELP

I am targeting FALL 2012 round 1/ 2

Indian Male
Age : 24
GMAT : 720 (Quant 48, Verbal 42)

Bachelors : Electrical and Electronics Engineering

GPA: 87% (University Topper)

Work Experience: 2.5 years in IT consulting(present)

Worked in Resource Management as Head of operations managing 900+ resources for a client.
Have initiated several performance improvement proposals and implemented cost effective measures.
Module leader in IT consulting managing 6 to 7 associates.

Additional Activities:
Had ventured a retail shop business for 5 years along with my father and have some business experience
Initiated some club activities at college level for helping low performers in Univ exams and placement.
Organised Technical symposiums in College
Head organizer for college tours and Industrial visits.
Co-Editor of Technical magazine " PLUG IN" during college days.
Volunteered social initiatives for teaching the underprivileged children.

Programs Focussed : Business Strategy, operations and Supply chain management

Post MBA Goals:

Work in Management Consulting industry and get to know about the strategy for business development.
After some years I am planning to start a educational consulting agency, which gives some specific services to schools.


I have shortlisted some schools for consulting based upon my research. I am comcentrating on mainly US schools for the Global exposure

Kellogg
Michigan Ross
Duke
UNC - Kenan Flager
Texas - Mccombs

Please let me know what other schools, I can add to this list which are good in Business Srategy or consulting and for which my chances are high for my profile. Also since I am an international applicant, let me know the chance of getting into these schools since their international acceptance rates are low comparitively

Hello,

Your list is solid! Given your goals and profile, three additional schools you could consider (at least look closely at) are UCLA/Anderson, Darden, and Cornell (particularly UCLA). I would consider your chances at these schools reasonable to good with a stellar application.

Hi Cindy,

Thank you so much for your advice. I forgot to mention that I am considering Carnie Mellon Tepper also. Will I have a chance at it, as I am from the Indian IT pool?

Yes, I believe you would. You would need an application that differentiates you within your group.
