IMBA Perception in the United States

by nataedwa » Tue Dec 04, 2012 3:08 pm
Hi all,

I recently visited Israel and was thinking about applying to the Soafar IMBA 1-year program. I would love to do this and think spending time abroad while learning would be a great experience. I am, however, concerned about the perception of US companies on IMBAs, especially for such a new program. I'm also applying to full-time and FEMBA programs here in the states and think I have a solid chance at some competitive schools, but I just don't want to rule out Soafar. Does anybody here have any insight of job opportunities upon returning one year later? Will hiring managers' eyes glaze over when they see IMBA on my resume or will it make me stand out as a candidate? I also wouldn't be opposed to working in Israel but I don't currently speak Hebrew. Thanks for your feedback! Much appreciated.
