Hi Everyone

I took my GMAT test yesterday and scored 710(Q50, V34).
I am looking for 1 year MBA program and is aiming for INSEAD,ISB,IMD. I am most interested in INSEAD. But I read on the INSEAD website , that it requires a balance score between the Quant and verbal section, with 70-75% in both, but I have secured overall 92%, Quant 92% and Verbal 69%. So I am very confused now whether I apply in it or not. And what are my chances for other MBA programs? What are the other 1 year MBA programs which I can consider?

Work EX:6 years in Indian IT Industry, Male
Worked for the clients in Private and public sector.Worked in both product based and service based IT Industry.
Worked in different roles of Developer,Module Lead, project lead, currently working as Technical consultant for the public sector client in USA.

Thanks

Hey SJ - For INSEAD, I don't think you should just look at your GMAT score. I think INSEAD's one of those school that says that look the complete story and they really mean it. When I say complete story I don't mean fabricate up a nice compelling version of you but I mean they look for the below 4 elements to be a normal part of who you are:

  • 1. Academic Capacity - This includes GMAT & GPA
    2. Leadership Potential
    3. International Outlook
    4. Ability to Contribute to INSEAD
So for INSEAD I'd dig deep down and look for qualities or examples that exemplify the above. I'd say US schools are more number savvy. Your profile including GMAT seems strong enough to consider the top schools but now it depends on who you layout your story.

Hope it helps...

Thanks AVbyT !!
It really has given me some insight for the INSEAD. Are you also applying there ? Now only the third round for INSEAD is left. What are the possibilities in the third round ? I have heard that third round of any MBA college is the toughest to crack.

Thanks
