So total is 12*10= 120
After removing certain elements = remaining total is 60
Hence total of 60 was removed . Now since avg is 15 total number of elements removed must be 4 because 15*4 =60
IF 4 elements are removed we should have 8 elements remaining .

Answer: D
Solution:

We can let the number of numbers removed = n and create the equation:

10 x 12 - 15n = 60

120 - 15n = 60

60 = 15n

4 = n

Since 4 numbers are removed, there are 6 numbers remaining.
