Is 6 weeks enough time?

Hi guys, here's my situation.

I just wrote the CFA Level I exam. The results are gonna take about another 6 or 7 weeks more to come out (that's when I'll know whether I'll be studying for Level I again or proceeding to Level II in June). I just graduated May 08 but haven't been having too much luck in getting a job.

Meanwhile, I don't want to waste anymore time. I do intend to do a MBA in the future, so I thought maybe I could use these next 6 weeks or so to study for the GMAT and take the exam end of January or beginning of February.

Main thing is, if I study almost everyday till Feb (since I'm not working), do you all think I will be ready?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

6 weeks, 8h/daily => 336h
This is a lot

First you should take a GMATPrep without preparation.
Afterwards it will be much easier to schedule your study plan according to the result you would like to achieve.

Problem is whether or not I can focus for 8hrs/day

Well seems like I have enough time. Although that might be delayed by when I get the books. I might also sign up earlier...

Anyone else have some advice?

ideally 7-8 weeks is a good time to study...and out of those 7-8 weeks...2-3 hours a day is enough

the poster above that said 8/hrs a day is not realistic...you will burn out very fast..

if you can study for 6 weeks for about 4 hours a quality hours per day, you will have more than enough time to perpare..

i suggest you order the books ASAP..and in the meantime, start using the internet as a resource..starting by this forum...THOUSANDS of questions and strategies....
