Answering last question on GMAT?

I have a quick question about completing the last question in either section of the GMAT (Verbal or Quant).

I read somewhere that if you are on the last question, that you will have a chance to answer it even if time runs out. Is this valid?

Does this mean that you could theoretically take as long as you want on the last question on the real GMAT?

Thanks for any clarification.

No my friend that's not true. The case is even worse than what you just said. Even if you clicked on the answer choice but you did not have the time to click confirm, you'll lose it.

Yup. It happened to me on Monday. I noticed with 3 seconds left, plugged in a choice, and couldn't confirm my answer in time. I've heard it's a pretty bad demerit.

My kaplan teacher told me as long as the selection is clicked, no need to hit confirm.....

use time effectively

Make sure you raise your hand if you are planning to take a break. Supervisors take some time to rescue you and that takes some time from your 8 min break.
And, if you really want to use all 8 min, don't come back so early from the break. If you come early supervisor will let you seat and log back in to start immediately & you won't be able to use all 8 min.
