I am a 21 year old BCOM student at the University of British Columbia focus on marketing.
Work Experience
I have been working full time most of my first year, and all of my second and third year of university to help pay off tuition. The work in question was for an renewable energy firm with branches in Canada, US, Latinamerica and Europe. I worked as the Accounting Assistant (book keeping, managing A/P, payroll, audit etc etc), Marketing (representing the firm at conferences, presenting to panels of investors, general PR + IR) and now Finance + Operations (making financial forecasts and plant operation schedules). I worked in Canada and in the US for this firm.
I also did work for a local first nations firm in Vancouver making marketing materials and general brand consulting.

V 34 (69%)
Undergrad Degree
GPA 3.1 **Estimate
(UBC has a different grading system, 80% and above is an A with class averages usually around 68% in my program).
My overall average so far is 73%.
My upper class average so far is 79% (no electives).
A > 80%
B > 68%
C > 60%
D > 50%
F < 50%
Other
Hispanic / European Origin, fluent in spanish and english, and conversational italian. Teach martial arts in free time, used to compete and train people to compete. Also do personal training for people, and freelance marketing materials (i.e. brochures, logos, websites etc) using Adobe suite. Completely self taught, and recognized as expert.
I am currently applying to Georgetown and American University. I would like to know if I would be considered a competitive candidate in particular since I will be graduating in May, and would love to start the program in September. Also, any suggestions for other recommended MBA programs are always welcome
