How did you overcome a weakness in Quant?

by Buix0065 » Sat Jul 16, 2011 1:23 pm
Hello!

I am 3 weeks out right now, and quant is not looking pretty.

GMATPrep - Q41 V41 (3 weeks ago)
Manhattan - Q39 V40 (This week)

I am consistently getting around the 90% percentile in verbal, missing only SC so I have not looked at verbal at all in the last month.

I've focused entirely on quant and am not finding that score to improve at all!

I went through the Manhattan quant guides to get a better handle on the basics. I'm going back through some OG problems, but I'm just not seeing the improvements.

Any big successes/pointers/tips/inspirations out there of improvement?

Thanks!

I'm no expert on the subject, but I just thought I should point out that it's hard to compare scores from two different sources. The official GMAT Prep software is generally reputed to give the most accurate representation of your score, so if possible, you should take that exam again and THEN compare those two scores to see how you're doing.

You might be improving, but since you're comparing scores from two different sources, you could be comparing apples to oranges.

Best of luck! :)
