A scientist recorded the number of eggs in each of 10 birds’ nests. What was the
standard deviation of the numbers of eggs in the 10 nests?
(1) The average (arithmetic mean) number of eggs for the 10 nests was 4.
(2) Each of the 10 nests contained the same number of eggs

My question : Is SD=0 when we take the second case

IMO....yes...."B" should be sufficient.

Just think of this way....std deviation is deviation of items from mean(i.e. average)...

Since all numbers are same...so there will be no deviation.

For the longer approach(which is not required here :-))...we can go via the usual calculation method of SD too...
