After re analyzing the problem I edited my explanation though the answer is still the same.

IMO A, negative slope will always pass through quadrant ii and iv and sometimes ii,i and iv or ii, iii, and iv. (positive slope will always pass through iii and i, sometimes iii,iv and i or iii, ii and i.)

Yes, A is correct.

A line with positive slope passes through Q1 and Q3

A line with negative slope passes though Q2 and Q4

Examples shown in the attached image.

B is insufficient, a line with y intercept -6 can pass through Q1, Q3,Q4 OR Q2, Q3, Q4 OR may be parallel to X-axis
