In what year was Heidi born?

1. Heidi's daughter was born in 1960 when Heidi was 28 years old.
2. Heidi's birthday and her daughter's birthday are exactly six months apart.

If A is the answer, then this question is just way too easy to appear on the GMAT.

After taking a look at choice B, I'm guessing that the question is trying to take into account the "month" factor.

e.g. if Heidi was born in March and her daugher was born in January, 1960 then Heidi would have been born in 1931. However, if Heidi was born in Jan and her daugher was born in March, 1960 then Heidi would have been born in 1932.

Thus, statement 1 becomes insuffient
Statement 2 doesn't tell us who was born in the earlier month. So, B is also insufficient.
--> choice E is the correct answer

On a side note, i don't think one would see this kind particular kind of logic tested on the GMAT.
