Let's take each statement one by one.

1) The cost of 5 packages of spaghetti at the reduced price is $2.75.

This is what we want. The answer is $2.75. Sufficient.

2) When purchased at the reduced price, each package of spaghetti is $0.30 less than when each package is bought at the original price.

=> 5*(0.85 - 0.30) = 5*0.55 = $2.75. Sufficient.

The correct answer: D

Hope this helps!
