Determine the maximum number of times each dimension of the cube (4 * 4 * 4) can divide into each corresponding dimension of the box (10 * 12 * 16):
(10 * 12 * 16) / (4 * 4 * 4) = 2 * 3 * 4 = 24.

The correct answer is D.
