(a raised to b) raised to c is equal to a raised to bc. (a^b)^c = a^bc
8^(1/60) = (2^3)^1/60 = 2 ^ (3 *1/60) = 2 ^ (1/20).

Now you can work out the other one yourself. (twentieth root is power to 1/20)[/b]
Vineesh,
Just telling you what I know and think. I am not the expert. :)

60th root of 8 = (8)^(1/60) = (2^3)^(1/60) = 2^(3*1/60) = 2^(1/20), which is the twentieth root of 2.
twentieth root of 2 whole power 10 = (2^10)^(1/20) = 2^(10*1/20) = 2^(1/2) = √2
