We can calculate the value of \(x\) to be \(-11.44\) and \(11.44\)
Therefore the options in contention are Option B and Option C

The difference between \(-11\) and \(-11.44 = 0.44\)
The difference between \(11.44\) and \(12 = 0.56\)

Hence the closest value is \(-11\)
