1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

I have attached a document with the possibilities.

Please let us know the right answer. Any better approach ???

Great diagrams!

Drawing it out is definitely the way to go on this problem.

Each vertex of the triangle can be outside, on the edge of or inside the circle, giving us our 6 possibilities.

If 1 vertex is on the edge and 2 vertices are inside, we get 1 point of intersection.

If 1 vertex is inside and 2 are outside, we can get 2 points of intersection.

If 1 vertex is on the edge and 2 vertices are outside (going through the circle), we can get 3 or 5 points of intersection.

If 2 vertices are on the edge and 1 is outside (going through the circle), we get 4 points of intersection.

If all 3 are outside (surrounding the circle), we can get 6 points of intersection.

Triangle , 3 sides each side can be touched MAX 2 times with a circle

3x2=6

Min = 1 point

1,2,3,4,5 and 6 are all possible.
