What is the greatest value of X?

I'll answer your question with a statement and a question :-)

If statement 2 is sufficient, then it MUST provide enough information to definitively determine the value of x.
So, if 6 < x < 8, what is the greatest possible value of x?

7,9...or 7,8 or anything not round between 6 and 8....I got it. thx :)))

As soon as one says x equals 7.9 OR 7.8, it becomes clear that the statement is not sufficient :-)
