Hi OsMaker,

Can you tell what is the source of this question. This definitely does not look like a GMAT question.

Find the LCM of 20,25,35,40
20=2*2*5
25=5*5
35=1*5*7
40=2*2*2*5
LCM of 20,25,35,40 =2*2*2*5*5*7 = 1400
The remainder is 6 less than the divisor in each of the cases

Hence the required number = LCM - 6 = (1400−6) = 1394
