Stmt 1:

x+3y = 0
x = -3y

(x,y) is either (-24,8) or (24,-8). In both the cases, xy is a constant number. Hence, [spoiler]Sufficient.

[/spoiler]Stmt 2:

(x,y) is either (24,8) or (24,-8) or (-24,8) or (-24,-8). xy leads to two numbers amongst these four possibilities. Hence, Insuff

Guess it is A. Pls highlight if this is right / wrong.
