MGMAT-2 score 570. Please suggest.

by vaishalijain7 » Tue Apr 07, 2009 1:09 pm
My GMAT appointment is scheduled for june 13th. 3 days back I took MGMAT online test 2 and scored 570(35 Q, 34 V). I have completed OG-11 verbal part, OG verbal review, OG quant review and CR bible. I am good at quant but as I practiced more for verbal and not for quant last 2-3 months my quant score fell 44 to 35.

I have kaplan 800 2009, kaplan premier 2009, kaplan verbal workbook 2005, princeton cracking GMAT CAT 2007, I ordered manhattan SC guide but don't think I'll get it before May 1st.

Can someone please suggest what strategy should I follow to maximize my GMAT score in next 2 months.

Hi vaishalijain7,

A quant drop from 44 to 35 is a HUGE drop. Are you comparing two tests from different sources (ie MGMAT with Princeton)? Or did you have a day off the 2nd time? (or an unfair advantage like pausing the test the first time ;-)

Just kidding. In all seriousness, you seem to have enough materials to last you a long time. As far as strategy is concerned, go over my debrief where I explained the strategies that worked well for me but also those that didn't. I think you'll find it usefull www.tinyurl.com/gmatpost

vaishalijain7,

MGMAT question are definitely tougher than the GMAT. Especially the quant section, in which problems require lengthy solving and takes more time. I would suggest you to take one GMATPrep CAT to know exactly where you stand and then take it from there.

hk, thanks for the reply. Actually I don't want to go for GMAT prep tests now because my GMAT exam is only 2 months far so I saved them for last one month.
