Hi,

I am planning to apply to top 10 business schools in the US but I also want to apply to 1 safety school that is in the top 20 or 30.

My profile briefly:
GMAT: 680
Work Experience: 2.5 years (by June 09) at a leading management consulting firm
GPA: 3.45
Nationality: Saudi
Age: 25

I am considering Indiana, Maryland and Texas universities as my safety schools but I have some trouble in choosing which one. I would like to know your thoughts on which school is better in terms of brand name, reputation and MBA experience? Do you think that there are other better schools?

I also want to be sure that I will have a great chance to be accepted at this school.

Hi,
they are all three big schools, it all depends on what you want and which career you seek. Texas-Austin is very strong in accounting for instance.
This year's application pool is gonna be particularly competitive, so I'm not sure you can consider one of those schools as safety.

Hi H,
As the previous poster mentioned, the schools listed above are all great programs. I would encourage you to do a bit more research into the programs to figure out which is a better fit for you and your career interests. For example, have you consider what industry/region you wish to work in? Check out the school's recruiting list to find out if companies you are interested in recruit from one of those schools.
