Am giving GMAT in the next 10 days. Have been getting around 650-700 in most diagnostic tests. Assuming a similar score in actual GMAT and based on the info below, can anyone pls help me find out the best US MBA schools to apply to?
1) Engineering degree in Metallurgical and Materials engineering from National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India (usually ranked in top 10 schools)with a GPA of 7.1/10(First Class pass without any retakes)
2) Masters in Sustainable Energy systems from University of Edinburgh (First class without any retakes)
3) By the time I join MBA program next year, will be having 3.5 years of Solar project development and execution experience from one of India`s top power companies. Have spent 1.5 years doing project development (financial closure, contract closure etc) from Corporate Office, Mumbai and then took a transfer to Construction site and am currently constructing one of the world`s biggest solar thermal power plants in Rajasthan, India.
4) Am also a value investor and do a lot of investing in small and mid cap stocks of Indian companies. Also, I maintain a blog on investing.
5) Am looking to combine my interest in sustainable energy and finance and enter into the cleantech VC space. Else, would like to get into a Business development role in some upcoming cleantech company in the US. (open to both finance and marketing in the cleantech space)
6) Will be able to get a couple of strong recommendations from direct supervisors also.
Am banking on strong work experience combined with a clear plan for my future (and ofcourse, the associated masters in a related subject).
Can anyone give a feedback and advice on the colleges that I could apply to.
