Dear Sir,

This is an overview of my Profile.I am planning to apply for HBS 2+2 Round II.

Indian/Male/21/Senior Year

Academic:
Under Graduate:6.8/10 (Top 10 Engineering College in India)
I was unable to score good because of some serious health problems. Then, unknowingly I focused more on Extra-Circulars and I screwed it up.
12th Class: 9.5/10
10th Class:9.5/10

GMAT: 640 (First Attempt)
Started my preparation for my second attempt;)

Internships:
1.IISc,Bangalore:
I did this intern after my Sophomore year.I did a project on MEMS Technology. My guide appreciated me about my work as I was the first to do something in that direction.
2.London Intern:
I should be doing this intern during this summer. I got to do a project in a start-up based in London. But,unfortunately some legal issues turned up and the Intern was canceled at the last moment. So,I turned up doing a training at a Steel Plant.

Positions of Responsibility:
1.Co-founder,Techaloo:
Techaloo is a platform for fostering entrepreneurship at colleges in Asia. It will help young entrepreneurs with the tools and information to "Fail sooner to succeed faster". Took up the roles of content development, marketing and conducting online events.
2.Finance Coordinator,FFI:
Fast Forward India (FFI)is an NGO which deals with English Education, Blood Donation, Career Counseling and Computer Education. When the NGO is having debts,I came forward and created a fund of 1,00,000 INR.Afterwards,I organised 2 fund-raising events and created more 50,000 INR.Started a New Center in other State.Registration Process is also started after I created the funds.
3.Treasure,Genesis,E-Cell:
Recently,I was promoted to be the Treasure of E-Cell.As the Corporate General of Genesis, E-Cell, ISM, I launched UDHAV, a bi-annual magazine of Genesis and initiated a ISM-Flipkart, a model book-store, for a first- hand experience.
4.Creative Fund-Raiser Coordinator,Indian Youth Climate Network(IYCN):
Tree Plantation Drives,Green Marathon,Green Technology Workshops & Quizzing Events in Schools are organised.

More Information:
1.Lean and Six-Sigma Project:
Using RDMAIC tool,I successfully increased the sales of an restaurant by advertisements, managing
human resources effectively.
2.Jagriti Yatra:
A Fellow at Jagriti Yatra,an annual 15 day train odyssey across the length and breadth of India which aims to awaken the spirit of entreprneurship in the young minds of Indian Youth by meeting the unsung heroes of India.
3.International Youth Forum,New Delhi:
I am a delegate at International Youth Forum, New Delhi to be held on 24th-29th June, 2012, where motivated youth across the world are brought together for Policy, Change and Development.

Recent developments:
1.I am a member of Student Coordination Group (SCG), an autonomous body selected by the DEAN, STUDENT WELFARE, for making suggestions and developing strategies for the overall development of college. The mess reorganization was proposed by our group and it is getting implemented in this academic year.We are planning to change many more things.
2.I got selected for HPAIR,Asia Conference under the Panel"Entrepreneurship in Asia: Rising Tigers at the edge of innovation?"
But,I am having a problem getting sponsorship to go to this conference. Will attending HPAIR brighten my chances of getting into HBS?Is it worth the money I put in?

Post-MBA Goals:
I have deep interest in social entrepreneurship and plans to start an International Socio-Economic Venture for the tangible and intangible benefits to percolate to the masses.

So,can you please evaluate my profile and tell me about my chances in HBS 2+2 Round 2?I am planning to give my best shot at GMAT...I want to score as much as I can..750+
I have 6 more months to work on my profile. If there is something missing in it,please let me know.I will try to make the both ends meet.

A couple of questions:

1.I got State 15th Highest Mark in my 10th Standard and 3rd Highest Mark in 11th Standard. But,my UG GPA is less. So,does my low GPA effect my chances too much?

2.I am from Indian School of Mines(ISM),Dhanbad. The only difference between ISM and IIT's is the name. All the official procedures proceed in the same way for both the colleges. So,will I get AW!! look generally got for IITians??

3.What are chances for Stanford GSB as a defered candidate??

Regards,
Vamsi.
