Hi Folks:

Many of you have probably been following the news of ScoreTop's shut down, and you may be wondering whether it's still safe to participate in the Beat The GMAT community.

Let me assure you that it's safe to study at Beat The GMAT. Since last year, Beat The GMAT has been in communication with staff members at GMAC as well as GMAC's attorneys to make sure that this community is compliant to their concerns. Unlike the ScoreTop owners, the staff and community at Beat The GMAT take ethics and integrity very seriously. And we will take all necessary steps to make sure we're providing a platform that encourages learning that is safe and legal.

As a side commentary: I'm really sad to hear about the ScoreTop users who are affected by this event. It's my hypothesis that most were subscribing to these paid services without knowledge that they were cheating (but some knew exactly what was happening).

To the former ScoreTop VIP subscribers: let me assure you that I've been impressed by my dealings with GMAC to date. They value integrity and fairness as well, and I'm sure they will deal with each individual on a case-by-case basis.

Thanks and happy studying!

I feel bad for ScoreTop's users. Seeing live questions was probably little to no better than just studying from OG and GMATPrep. I bet few of them ever saw more than 1 question on their actual exam that they had seen before
