The city's transit union is contemplating a strike in order to
coerce the mayor into accepting its workers' demands for a
new contract. However, union leaders are aware that a lack
of public support for the union can decrease their leverages in
negotiations.
The answer to which of the following questions would be
LEAST relevant to the transit union's consideration of whether
to strike or not?
A. Does a signi�cant portion of the city's population believe the
union's current contract is unfair?
B. Would the transit strike severely inconvenience a great many of
the city's people?
C. Have previous strikes by the city's transit workers been supported
by the city's residents?
D. Do the residents of the city hold the mayor in high regard?
E. Has the mayor clearly outlined the city's position on the new
contract?

All the options except E have something to do with the residents of the city

I Feel the city people's inconvenience would count the least..

IMO E.

In evaluate the argument kind of questions, answer the options in yes/no and check how it impacts the conclusion of the argument.

A. relevant.
B. if the strike inconveniences the people, then they are not going to support the union. so relevant.
C. relevant. i.e. any option that is going to have some impact on general public is relevant to evaluate the argument.
D. relevant.
E. Not relevant much.

IMO C

how the previous strike can be a base for the current strike ??

E : looks related to the argument. If mayor has outlined the city's position then the union can get the support from the city residents.

Conclusion talks about public support.
A, B, C and D all suggest that either the union will get public support or would not.
E is odd man out here.

All other options take into consideration the residents of the city.
