DD = 06/27!

BTGMAT,

I am retaking my GMAT on 6/27, I got at 580 on my first go around with an unorganized, thrown together study plan.

This time around I've taken a GMAT math prep class, also I am using a spreadsheet to track common mistakes and identify my weak areas. I am at about 50 - 70 problems a night and am taking as many practice tests as I can!

The good part is; I am feeling better about the math portion of the GMAT. Learning the ability to figure what type of action the problem is calling for has been priceless for me. I am definitely looking forward to the math portion of this test. Bring it on!!!

Now ...Verbal. Being a native English speaking guy from Buffalo I thought that I'd have no problem with that portion of test - wrong! I want to get better - and I need to do so in a hurry.
Thus far I've worked through the Kaplan Verbal Workbook but I still don't have the same level of confidence that I have in the Math.

Any suggestions on how to conquer this section?

Your advice is much appreciated.

Courtney

Hey!

I bought the official GMAT text books and i heard that the one dedicated for the verbal section is excellent. Give it a shoot...,try it and see how you feel afterward.

Good Luck
