Legacy @ Harvard?

I wanted to ask you a question about legacy at business schools. My uncle (dad's brother) is an HBS grad, and though my profile is fairly strong, I'm wondering if it helps my chances at all having a family member who attended the school? I know that legacy usually only extends to mother/father, but do the schools ever consider other family members?

Schools usually ask about any family members, so you would want to note your uncle on your HBS application. Whether or not that helps your application is hard to say. Most of the time, these connections don't have much bearing beyond the admissions committee assuming that you have a good understanding of the program based on your relationship with your uncle.
